this is the amount of facs buffer the lab orders every month. took a pic because its alot, and because it was just outside my office door. of all places, got to put there...

Today in the LB broth of records...
Today, Anthony submitted his thesis...
and he decided to do something creative.

Presenting...
The Plaque Assay Triple Tower, totally made up of Anthony's collection of PA plates over his one year of honours.

The Plaque Assay Triple Tower, made up of God knows how many 24 well plates, spanning 2 storeys high, if stacked one on top of another. Osama is designing paper aeroplanes now.

Melvin and Anthony.

These data reinforce the
growing awareness that noncoding RNAs are key players in
tumor development by placing miRNAs in a central role in
a well-known tumor-suppressor network. As another tumor
suppressor, Rb gene, there still never had published data
about miRNAs involving its downstream pathway.
In the searching of normal control for the Rb cases, the
situation we met in the study just like that in another mRNA
profiling study of Rb
Identification of miRNAs associated with tumorigenesis
of retinoblastoma by miRNA microarray analysis

Bowling
Microbiology vs Immunology Bowling outing 2008.

we had a mini competition between the microbiology and the immuno group at clementi...
in other words, it is an official snake eating day for micro dept.
snake population was at its all time low... =(

posing for a shot

anthony and gang goofing around while queing up for their shoes.

Adrian keyed in our names for the game, while Anthony appeared overly fascinated with bowling balls...

Another Lab photo.

Prof is very happy the drain (longkang) is cleaner now. =P

Guess who?
Anyway, immuno won the competition... =P (overall)
