3 cities

Some more random photos - the first is in my town, Kyoto. Its the main river, Kamogawa (duck river), and its fed by 2 smaller rivers from the mountains. In the pic you can see there is a small storm over the mountains. They've got some old stones to cross the river on. There are usually ducks and cranes in the river, and in Spring many many eagles.

The second picture is from a Shinto Shrine in Tokyo, near Meiji University. This pic doesnt really look like Tokyo though.

The third is some flowers, with the fuzzy background the port-city of Kobe, an extremely European-feel city. Famous for bread, pastries and confectionaries, beef and a really big earthquake in 1995.

3 pictures, 3 cities!

A Golden-Orange Day

This is J from the land of J. Just a little post to add, hopefully will do this from time to time.
2 days ago around sunset, I noticed my cave was extremely orange (which is weird because natural light hardly ever enters my aparment), and the air had a heavy quality to it. I peeked out of the main door and the whole sky was a lazy golden-orange. It was strange because the sunset itself wasn't orange, but purplish. It was the sky in the east, and not just the sky but the buildings and the mountains.

another lunch

Mariott hotel cafe. To welcome the new people to the lab. Feed them first, then torture them. Muahahahah!
