Played with dry ice today, leftover from the packaging that came with the new batch of FCS.

This is what happens when you throw a whole lot of cube dry ice into a bucketfull of 7x detergent. Muahahahah!!!

tags

New tags for all staff. Using it now like a dog collar. Not that I like it, but because my card kept at the back pocket has begun to show signs of aging and cracking.

Future? What future?

The corridor: "euu chat"

Painting day!!!

Oh but before that, after the data cable people came, the electricians made sure we had enough power points to go around.

New power plugs on the wall. Some are up, some are down.

The microscope crammed to a side so that the painters can paint the wall behind. Monitor shifted out.

My crib for the few weeks the corridor is out of action.

Paint

Josie the ultra-visor making her rounds. Upgraded from super-visor.

First coat. Still can see the old paint comming through the new thin one.

Before:

During:

After:

Microscope room done: nice.

AFter the second coat, it looks much better.

Special request to paint this door because the lab pasted so much stuff on it and the double sided tape tore out some paint. So HAD TO repaint the door. Else very ugly.

Air cond works

Air cond works underway. Soon the lab will feel like the artic circle.

The old ducting taht the workers exposed. No wonder people keep on falling sick when in the lab. Its not their job that they are sick of.

The compressor and filter units of the new central air cond waiting to be moved in, but first the old one must move out.

Eh, hollow one ah?

The main air cooler unit, compare this with the aged one in a later picture.

The old one:

The new motor and fan. Cant find the pic I took of the old motor. Will upload it tomorrow.

Good only as scap metal now.

The new one fully exposed:

One of the first pictures of the new unit being installed. They totally removed the old one, cleaned up the place, and then put in piece by piece, the new unit. Its too large to fit in through the door at one go. And they needed 7 men to do the work.

eat again

Prof brought the poly students for lunch to celebrate their departure. Ok, that doesnt sound too nice. Erm... to thank them for their hard work. Yeah.
We went to this Indonesian place at IMM. Forgot the name.

The drinks look good and look good only. The tahu telur is better than the one at Rice Table. Fried rice was so popular we ordered another plate. Fish was good, IMHO. But the company was most satisfying.

Teren's treat

Terror Teren gave the departing poly students on attachment to the lab a treat, along with the rest of the people who cared to tag along. Haagen dazs for everyone.

Pictures to drool:

The group. Fi is hiding behind Bhu:

ARgh, my nose,... my nose...

Sorry, underexposed shot because of the bright background. This is the best I can get of Bhu. Oh, she ditched the ice-cream and went for chips. Wonder why...
