went back to kl
rub in butter into the sieved flour
mix sliced apples with cinnamon powder, ginger powder, sultanas and a little brown sugar
bake the bottom crust
baked bottom crust
layer the bottom of the crust with flour, then add in the apples. press down the apples to fill up all the gaps
filled up pie
roll out some pastry for the pie top
put it on and cut off the access, then pattern the pie as you want.
bake the pie for another 20-30 minutes and you have a apple pie!
final step: cut and devour!
oh yeah, use the leftover pastry to make tarts. in this case, pineapple tarts.
went back kl for one week last week and made my mum teach me how to make apple pie.
