Went for some Fire Safety course and had a hands on practical with CO2 extinguishers on how to put out a blaze. Quite fun, especially watching the ladies with the heavy cylinder.

The flowers opened wide today. Whole office smells nice.

Teachers day comes early this year. Bought prof a big bunch of pink roses. Should have taken a pic of it in the original wrapping, looked really nice.

fruit day for all staff. register and get a pear and two kiwis free. Then go buy some other stuff. I got some champagne grapes and a big pineapple. good stuff.

Going to Japan in 2 weeks time and collected the ticks today with Mic. Found some very kawaii figurines at the ticket counter. took tons of pics of it, to the amusement of the lady at the counter.

Clearing up the PC in the darkroom of images more than 2 weeks old (which is about everything in it) and decided to defragment the hard disk.

Terror's Bday

Nowadays need two cakes because the number of people in the lab increase. The fat quotient cannot decrease!
Terror Teren likes no, LOVES chocolate, so its thick sweet things today.

problems abound

Someone in the lab go measure silver nitrate outside on the weighing scale and thinking its white powder, never clean up, next day come kena from B:

But the note B: put up, is really first class bashing man! got arrow from masking tape point to the spot some more. Super on to whack the poor student.








Then common lab got one hood leak. Something wrong with the hood, not the filter. Some people tried to service but after a few days, still cannot use. Dont know what's wrong.

fireworks

There was some fireworks display in town and it was a competition between 5 groups. Went for only the last one (France) because didnt have time for the others. Waited seated on the floor for a good 3 hours before the show started but the 15 minutes was all worth it. Super spectacular. And from the oohs and aaahhs of the crowd, you know the show was a winner. The whole place was jammed pack with people. Every and anywhere. And many cases of the ubiquitous ugly Singaporean rearing its horns. Particularly liked the part of the display when they had these coconut tree like display. I contrasted that against a real palm tree. The thing at the top left hand side is some inconsiderate aunty that suddenly stood up in the middle of the show to get a better picture from her camera. The show ended with a real bang. These white fireworks that gave a loud sound. no picture of it because theres nothign spectacular about the white blobs in teh sky, only loud noise.
