For the past few months (some say 6), teh central air cond has been malfunctioning. So in the end, the uni scraped up some funds to replace the aging AHU with a new one. Today the workers banged and heaved and brought out piece by piece, the mammoth from the little room at the back of the building.
I just realized that the photos are in reverse order and I am too lazy to change it. Half way through the dismantling process, some fiber thingy caught fire in the room becasue they had to use a blowtorch to break some tubes and metal rods. The fire caught some fiber insulation and the whole room went up in smoke. Because it was the air cond duct that lead to the whole floor, the whole level 1 was filled with smoke from the air cond unit. The fire alarms went off and everybody got evacuated. Later they found out the cause and everybody went back in. But the condition was too terrible to work in.
Smoke really gets in your eyes.
